Owner and President of the company, Patricia Ruiz-Healy holds a Masters Degree in Art History from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has done post-graduate work in London, England at the Sotheby's Institute and at the Coartauld Institute of Art. She is now a PhD candidate (ABD) at UT Austin where she is working towards a Doctorate in Latin American Studies, with a concentration in Art History. She advanced into candidacy in May 2011.

Being an avid collector of many years has given her special access to important European, Mexican and American galleries and collections, as well as personal relationships with the artists that Ruiz-Healy Art represents and who she brings to the attention of an American audience. Mrs. Ruiz-Healy currently serves on the board of the Museo del Barrio in New York, and had served for many years as a board member of the San Antonio Museum of Art. She now chairs the Circle Member Events at SAMA. In addition, she also serves on the San Antonio Public Library board.
